WHO YOU ARE

20 years or older and you have a passion for working with elementary-aged youth in an outdoor, camp environment
Professional experience working with elementary-aged youth in a school, child care, or a youth development setting (camps, athletics or after school programs); or have aspirations to work with elementary-aged children by pursuing a career in education, social work or psychology
Support the specific and unique physical, social, and emotional needs of youth aged 5-7 based on your in-depth understanding of early childhood development
Assist campers in an emergency and possess the endurance required to maintain full-day outdoor supervision of young people
Provide exceptional communication, leadership, and collaboration

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As the Grove Coordinator, you will oversee all aspects of the Grove Program, ensuring that the programming, staffing, and campers’ needs are met and allow campers to enjoy a safe, positive and memorable camp experience
Implement and oversee intentional and systematic daily routines within the Grove schedule to create a sense of predictability, organization and structure in campers’ day
Lead and inspire Kindergarten campers through fun, age-appropriate daily activities like creative arts, sports, and outdoor adventures, ensuring they have a joyful and engaging experience
Attend a Leadership Team Summit and Training (prior to camp starting)
Modify traditional camp experiences to meet the unique developmental needs of younger campers, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and excited to participate
Train, oversee, and manage staff facilitating Grove programs, ensuring safety, consistency, and high-quality experiences
Address and manage Grove camper behavioral concerns with care, supporting their social and emotional development
Take charge of ordering and managing supplies, ensuring everything is ready for smooth and successful camp operations
Collaborate with the Camp Wing Day Camp (CWDC) Leadership Team to maintain a vibrant, organized environment—overseeing spaces, supporting camper experiences, and ensuring smooth transitions during arrivals, departures, and activities
